I am currently in a leadership role at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) as the unit educator in the Medical ICU (MICU). My day to day focus is on professional development as well as nursing quality of care.

My role is an NPD Practitioner and I am the Director for Hospital Education

There are many educational projects to work on which would include the Roles of the NPD practitioner and the Standards of NPD practice.

thoracic surgery setting in the outpatient clinic, postoperative inpatient setting, and intraoperative (OR) setting. I work M-F 8a-5p. I am happy to take any FNP or acute care NP student. OR experience will be observation only for the student.

I work in the inpatient and outpatient setting on the surgical service. The student will gain valuable experience in: comprehensive and focused exam, oncology staging for lung and esophageal cancers, inpatient management of the acutely ill patient, preoperative work up/evaluations, postoperative care and follow up.

I love to precept. I make you feel so comfortable and relaxed to ask questions and make mistakes. I will impart to you all of my 40 years of nursing at 22 hospitals, in many areas of hospital nursing.

Work with an Advanced practice nurse Program Director in developing, planning and implementing perinatal, pediatric and public health initiatives and working collaboratively with pediatricians, nurses, community health workers and other partners.
